New musical "El Condor Pasa -- Andean Hope"

In the most ambition project to date, the orchestra is presenting an original new musical "El Condor Pasa -- Andean Hope" by the Peruvian composer Dante Valdez. The work is inspired by the indigenous legends of the Andean region and is infused with music and melodies of the Andes. The orchestra will be augmented with several ethnic indigenous instruments (quenas, zampoñas, charango), as well as soloists, dancers and chorus.

Beethoven for Lovers

For Valentine's Day, the orchestra has prepared a special all-Beethoven programme, including his most romantic work, the Violin Concerto, featuring the exuberant and energetic violinist James Graseck.

Concert will take place on Thursday, 14 February 2019 at 7:30pm at the Merkin Concert Hall.

Four Horns and a Schumann

Four extraordinary horn players are joining our Orchestra to bring a wonderfuly fiery Schumann work, "Concert Piece for Four Horns". In this all-Schumann programme, the orchestra will also present a rarely performed overture "The Bride of Messina", as well as his profoundly romantic and delightful Third Symphony (the "Rhennish").

We are very excited to present an exuberant programme of music by Latin American composers of 20th and 21st century. On Friday, 10 June 2016 at 7:30pm at the Symphony Space, the Orchestra will showcase works of Ginastera, Valdez, Márquez, Valle Riestra, Robles, Vera Cárdenas and others. For the first time, we will also have a guest conductor, Maestro Dante Valdez from Perú.

Mozart Requiem!

We are playing one of the greatest classical works of all time, Mozart Requiem. Joining forces again with Vocal Productions NYC and their soloists and chorus, we will have two performances in the wonderful auditorium High School for Arts and Design. The concerts are on 20 February (7:30pm) and 21 February (2:30pm).

With a delightful programme of Beethoven, Schubert and Mendelssohn, we are returning to the Merkin Hall for our first concert in the season. Featuring our own Anne-Chris Visser as a soloist in Beethoven's Romances for violin and orchestra, the ensemble will present a delightful classical programme:

Concert for the United Nations

Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the United Nations, the orchestra will have a gala concert on Friday, 8 May 2015, at NYU Skirball Centre for the Performing Arts. This will be a very special event, where we will premiere a new work specially written for our orchestra, and dedicated to the United Nations.

Orchestra Plays Khachaturian!

Come hear one of the most energetic and exuberant concertos for the violin and orchestra! 

On 6 November 2014, we are returning to the Symphony Space to present Khachaturian's Concerto in D, performed by one of our veteran members, James Graseck.

Richard Wagner: "The Flying Dutchman"

The orchestra is embarking on the biggest project yet. After a very successful production o Verdi's "Ernani" last year, we are teaming up again with "Vocal Productions NYC" to present Richard Wagner's opera "Der fliegende Holländer" (The Flying Dutchman). The production will be fully staged, with three amazing casts of singers over six days of performances.
