Valentine's Day: From Russia with Love
Join us in this all-Russian, all-romantic programme to put you in the right mood for the Valentine's Day! The UN Symphony Orchestra, featuring its own Nenad Vasić on saxophone, will play the delightful Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra by Alexandre Glazunov, followed by the exuberant and colourful "Sheherezade" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Oh, what fun! A Holiday Celebration
Join us for a fun-filled holiday concert, with wonderful music of Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Verdi and many others! Special guest appearance by UNSRC Singers! New musical "El Condor Pasa -- Andean Hope"
In the most ambition project to date, the orchestra is presenting an original new musical "El Condor Pasa -- Andean Hope" by the Peruvian composer Dante Valdez. The work is inspired by the indigenous legends of the Andean region and is infused with music and melodies of the Andes. The orchestra will be augmented with several ethnic indigenous instruments (quenas, zampoñas, charango), as well as soloists, dancers and chorus. Get your tickets at unorchestra.org/tickets. |
Beethoven for Lovers
For Valentine's Day, the orchestra has prepared a special all-Beethoven programme, including his most romantic work, the Violin Concerto, featuring the exuberant and energetic violinist James Graseck. Four Horns and a Schumann
Four extraordinary horn players are joining our Orchestra to bring a wonderfuly fiery Schumann work, "Concert Piece for Four Horns". In this all-Schumann programme, the orchestra will also present a rarely performed overture "The Bride of Messina", as well as his profoundly romantic and delightful Third Symphony (the "Rhennish"). |

¡Musica de las Americas!
We are very excited to present an exuberant programme of music by Latin American composers of 20th and 21st century. On Friday, 10 June 2016 at 7:30pm at the Symphony Space, the Orchestra will showcase works of Ginastera, Valdez, Márquez, Valle Riestra, Robles, Vera Cárdenas and others. For the first time, we will also have a guest conductor, Maestro Dante Valdez from Perú. |
Mozart Requiem!
We are playing one of the greatest classical works of all time, Mozart Requiem. Joining forces again with Vocal Productions NYC and their soloists and chorus, we will have two performances in the wonderful auditorium High School for Arts and Design.
